The Colorado River is the main river in the south western United States and north western Mexico. The actual head quarters of the Colorado River are the rocky mountain national parks. The river flows through the Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico and so on. This river is really very long. The river is approximately 2330 km long, draining the part of the arid region on the western slope of the Rocky Mountains.

The Colorado was at first known as the red river as it was called by the Spanish. Originally the river looked Reddish brown from its natural flow through the deserts and mountain regions. But with the addition of the glen dam, the water comes from the bottom of the lake and appears of the blue green color.
